Why are you joining Qatar SportsTech as a mentor?
I am new to Qatar and fascinated by the interest in startup culture, tech, and sports, I find that Qatar SportsTech embodies all three aspects which is something that is very interesting for me.
What excites you the most about Sports Technology?
I feel that over the years the evolution of technology has greatly impacted the quality of the sporting industry, the sky is the limit and I’m eager to be a part of it.
What are you bringing to the teams of QST?
I have about 13 years of entrepreneurship experience and had my hands in a couple of tech companies. In one of them, we raised over 10 million dollars in funding, achieved over 15 million downloads via 1 billion organic views on social media and built a team of up to 30 rockstars in less than 3 years. I love building teams and processes, creating marketing strategies and finding creative ways to solve difficult problems. I feel a responsibility to give back to the startup community because I took full advantage of mentor programs when I first started.
What would you recommend for startups working within sportstech?
You decided to go this path because a 9-5 just wasn’t cutting it, this road is long and painful but will be full of great memories, fulfillment and self-growth. Take this opportunity to shape the future of Sports Tech because not many others have this chance!
